The American National Riding Commission (ANRC) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that is devoted to making a difference in the equestrian industry by promoting the American System of Forward Riding. ANRC programs are designed for horses and riders in the hunter/jumper discipline at various stages of learning and include riding clinics and educational resources. Our organization’s ability to provide these services comes from the financial support of our member colleges, high schools, individuals, volunteers, and businesses who are invested in our mission and programs.

ANRC NATIONAL EQUITATION CHAMPIONSHIPS
ANRC offers an annual invitational National Equitation Championship for collegiate, junior, and adult amateur riders. We are in our 45th year of hosting this unique competition format. The competition is judged and scored on equitation skills and sound horsemanship practices. The highest score in each phase is awarded to the rider who demonstrates excellence in equitation and produces a smooth, cooperative performance exemplifying quality hunter movement both on the flat and over fences. The scores are added to produce an both individual and team standings. Read more about this program here.

ANRC FORWARD RIDING PROFICIENCY PROGRAM & CONTINUING EDUCATION GRANT
ANRC has an exciting new initiative designed to challenge riders to expand their knowledge, improve their skill, and earn an ANRC Forward Riding Proficiency Certificate, giving them a pathway to apply for ANRC education grants. This program is an engaging, interactive, online study of American Forward Riding System theory at three skill levels. But what is even more exciting is the opportunity for riders to earn cash to help further their equestrian goals. The Captain Vladimir S. Littauer Grants will be awarded to riders who have earned an ANRC Forward Riding Proficiency Certificate. We plan to award up to $10,000/year in continuing education grants to qualified applicants in increments of $500, $800 and $1,200. Read more about this program here.
